Starting a baby registry is one of the first things I advise expectant moms to do! People will begin to share their favorite baby products with you even if you are still early in your pregnancy, and an Amazon Baby Registry is the greatest location to save these recommendations. There are several options for baby registries, but I always recommend using an Amazon Baby Registry because of the numerous benefits. I didn't hear about these benefits till my second pregnancy!
Universal Registry. Of the many perks of an Amazon Baby Registry, this is my favorite. You can put non-Amazon items on your registry! What does this mean? This means that if you find something for your list that isn’t offered on Amazon, you can still add it to your registry for people to know about. Maybe you have a favorite Etsy shop, or that crib at IKEA is your absolute favorite? No problem. Amazon Universal Registry allows to you still add these things from your registry so that your friends and family can find all of your wants on one list, instead of having to tell them you are registered in 3 different places. All you need to do is download the toolbar button (super easy to do) and then click on it whenever you are viewing a product you want to add. After you have Created a Registry, you can install the button here.
Get a 15% discount. This is another fantastic advantage of having. Not only can you add whatever you want to your list, but Amazon will also send you a discount for the items you still need that weren't given to you at the shower. The discount is 10% (or 15% if you have an Amazon Prime account), and it can be used less than 60 days before and up to 180 days beyond your due date.
Amazon is difficult to beat. I already buy 99 percent of my baby supplies on Amazon because their prices are reasonable and the 2-day shipping is hard to beat. When you have a kid, you can't always dash to the store at the drop of a hat, and being able to obtain my goods so promptly has been a lifesaver for me on numerous occasions. Amazon Prime was designed specifically for mothers.
Returns and shipping are both free. If you don't like your presents, you can return them for free for up to 90 days (while the gift sender remains anonymous). You get free shipping if you have Prime. If you don't, orders of $25 or more still qualify for free shipping (which is very easy with baby products).
Welcome Box from the Amazon Baby Registry Who doesn't like getting something for nothing? I am well aware of this. Amazon usually sends out a welcome box to Prime members who create a registry with them, which contains free items for both mom and baby. Get your welcome box by starting here.
How to get the Amazon Baby Registry Welcome Box: Customers with active Prime accounts who establish and complete a Baby Registry using Checklist and make over $10 in purchases from their registry are eligible for the Welcome Box (from themselves or gift-givers). More information can be found here. Keep in mind that you do not need to include anything from each category to qualify for your welcome package when going through the checklist. Simply mark the box and proceed to the next category.
